These new Royan Print T-Shirts by Horace are now available to buy on ASOS. I just love the originality of the ‘Yearbook Pictures’ design, and the ‘ZOMG’ and ‘WTF’ tees are fun, and completely relevant based on how we use internet slang today!
Also, these are some pictures of some jewellery that I bought, and I meant to post them, but I forgot (as usual), I thought it would be fun to set them out like a jewellery shoot, rather than just wearing them, so here they are…
(Pearl bangles, pink vintage style ring, pearl ‘Honey’ bracelet, pink flower corsage, all Dorothy Perkins. Gold headband, gold bangles, gold bracelet, black ring, black bangles, all Primark. Blue flower corsage, blue bracelet, blue bangle, all vintage found at Kennilworth Festival. Pop Rocks from supermarket and Elle June 2010 issue subscribed – I got hungry and wanted something to read so…)
Sorry about the lack of posting lately, I’ve been occupied with work mostly, but I promise, there are lots of posts scheduled for this upcoming month.
A short post today, a sort of mood board post – a compilation of inspiring pictures and people – that encapsulates my chosen style for A/W 2010.
As you can see, it’s mainly a collection of black, leather, lace, tough boots, knee highs, red lipstick, band tees, wooly jumpers, graphic shirts, ankle boots, tough accessories, chunky rings, studded belts, and denim – think Joan Jett from The Runaways.
I love September. Rainy days, winter clothes and the best magazine issues of the year. Here are a few of my favourite September covers…
22 year-old actress Emma Stone (Superbad, House Bunny, Zombieland) has turned into a cover girl for ASOS’ New York September Fashion Issue. I love love love her photoshoot. Her look is really cute: the red-ish hair, the freckly skin and blue eyes. And the clothes are simple but beautiful, my favourite cover this month.
Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr (most recently in the new film Piranha 3D) covers Nylon’s September TV Issue. I like her photoshoot, but she looks just like she does in Gossip Girl, that sort of sweet, fun, happy girl. I would have liked to see a different side to her, slightly more edgy, just like the clothes. Still, very cute nonetheless.
For all Kate Moss lovers, the editorial does not disappoint. UK Vogue got 36 year-old Moss to model trends for A/W. She’s beautiful styled, and the simplicity of the shot (by Patrick Demarchelier) is stunning. Also, check out the Georgia Armani article about life for the 76-year-old designer.
I love both Elle US and UK covers this September. I love the expressions in the Julia Roberts shoot for ELLE US. It’s so simple (monochrome outfits with happy expressions), and so gorgeous. And the exclusive subscriber cover for Elle UK is another of my most favourite September covers. I love the shot itself, with her hair covering her face and the glimpse of her dark eyes. Her interview is really inspiring too. She’s a quaint young English actress who is Hollywood’s next big thing. Love it.
Look out for the next post where I discuss October covers and an awe-inspiring editorial from Elle UK…
Back again! This will probably be one of many posts about London Fashion Week, as being so busy makes it hard to make one whole post. Wow! March already. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun…
So London Fashion Week is over, the shows were fabulous, the designers bigger than ever, and the clothes pushing the boundaries like never before. So, here are a few moments from my glamourously, magical weekend.First of all, I’ll indulge in a few selfish ‘me, me, me’ moments. My LFW tidbits (I have no idea what this word means but here goes):
This was my baggage for the weekend..
And sadly there wasn’t a full photo of my outfit, as my thick scarf kept covering it, but this is basically what I wore to Somerset House..
And here is what was rocking out my iPod pretty much all weekend..
That’s it for now. Tomorrow, I’ll probably ramble on about the gorgeous stuff I bought :)
Ciao for now…
If you didn’t know already, I love ‘People Watching’. Yes, its an interesting sport that involves sitting oneself down and watching, judging, wondering about the people that walk by. Really, if I had my way I’d sit on a swing all day and watch the people that walk by. Perhaps not the most polite thing to do, but hey, what do you do when your bored? So when I saw these photographs, they reminded me of ‘People Watching’. I love them! The children and the camera one are my faves, and is it weird the yawn one makes me sleepy? Well anyway, check out more of his wonderful photography at PeterFunch.com.
Also, I apologize for the decrease in posting, I’ve been super busy with coursework, and getting ready for London Fashion Weekend. I leave Friday and am back Monday. Cannot wait!!!!! *SQUEEEAL!* (God, I do so much squealing lately!) So yeah, blog will be back to normal Monday, love you all :)
Now, don’t comment on all the capitals. When things are as important as this, it needs lots of capital letters. Okay. So a while back I did ‘The Most Beautiful Shoes In The World’ post when I saw Kendra Spears’ editorial in Japanese Vogue. But, I admit, I was wrong. They were not The Most Beautiful Shoes In The World, no. These are…
Whilst reading the ‘Die Young, Stay Pretty’ blog, I came across this A/W Zoo Magazine photoshoot including a very pregnant Roisin Murphy. She may be heavily baby-bulging, but she wears, with elegance, without a doubt The Most Beautiful Shoes In The World. The masterpieces were made by none other than the Queen herself, Vivienne Westwood, for her Gold Label collection. There are no more words for these bad boys….I’ll just let you marvel in their greatness….
